"When you lose touch with inner stillness, you lose touch with yourself. When you lose touch with yourself, you lose yourself in the world." – Eckhart Tolle

The world continues to shift in unpredictable ways, bringing both challenges and opportunities. The fast pace of change—marked by volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity (VUCA)—can feel overwhelming.

To navigate these waters, we need more than just mental intelligence (IQ). When we tap into our emotional intelligence (EQ) and physical intelligence (PQ), we can get back in touch with our inner stillness and respond to change with clarity and confidence.

Tackling Changes Beyond Merely “Thinking”

While IQ is important for success, relying on IQ alone is not enough. Emotional intelligence (EQ), encompassing self-awareness, self-regulation, motivation, empathy, and social skills, plays a crucial role. Notably, 90% of top performers possess high EQ, highlighting its significance in achieving excellence¹.

Physical intelligence (PQ), involving body awareness and the ability to manage physiological states, also contributes to resilience. Conscious physical activity enhances mood, reduces stress, and improves cognitive function, enabling better adaptation to change². Moving the body—adjusting our posture or even taking a short walk—can help us shift mental states and gain new perspectives. For instance, (there are other instances) a study by Stanford University showed that walking boosts creativity by up to 60%, making it easier to solve problems and tackle challenges³.

When we integrate these intelligences, we develop inner stillness, and that strengthens our inner knowing. It creates the mental space to process emotions, tune into the body's signals, and find clarity amidst uncertainty. We can better align our responses to the demands of the external world.

Are you steering the direction of your life, or are you being steered by people and situations around you?

In the face of constant change, self-awareness becomes a critical compass. Understanding your core motivations, values, and aspirations enables intentional decision-making and personal growth.

Journalling and mindfulness practice can enhance your self-awareness. Finding quiet moments amidst the chaos allows you to reconnect with your inner stillness.

When you have a lens to see your deeper motivations and higher intentions through your personality, you gain clarity on the direction you want your life to take.

Developing self-awareness is associated with higher job and relationship satisfaction, personal and social control, and overall happiness₄.

Embarking on a New Format for Mind Transformations’ Programmes in 2025

We've restructured our Level 1 training to bite-sized programmes centred around skill themes so learners can choose to start with the programmes that best meet their needs.

Learners will also find these bite-sized programmes more accessible and easily fit their busy schedules.

This approach aligns with our mission to equip more people with life-supportive skills and mindsets so we can support the movement for everyone to be the change we want to see in the world.

To make things affordable for our learners, we're also structuring the programmes such that some modules map into the Skills Framework and can be supported by government funding.

Embracing 2025 with Clarity and Confidence

By strengthening your emotional and physical intelligence, leveraging them with your intellectual intelligence, and deepening your self-awareness by understanding yourself better, you develop more ways to tap into your inner stillness. When you align your actions with your values and vision, you will equip yourself to navigate the complexities of 2025 effectively.
