1. Certification is not an automatic process. It requires an overall minimum grade based on class attendance (NLP, MNLP, Practicum, Executive Coach Immersion Training), written assignments, and the Master Trainer's evaluation of the Trainee Coach's performance.

2. The Trainee Coach can participate in the Executive Coach Immersion Training before attending the Coaching Practicum.

Practicum

1. The entire Practicum is self-driven and self-initiated by the Trainee Coach, there will be no “spoonfeeding”. Trainee Coach decides on what skills they want to sharpen and strive to manifest the results. It is a real life facilitation and coaching, working with participants of the NLP course.

2. The Practicum is not about attending a course refresher. The Trainee Coach is setting a daily outcome to work with participants, hone specific micro skills relevant to coaching.

3. There is a pre-class briefing with the Master Trainer at 8:30am every day. The Trainee Coach is to discuss the Coaching Objective for the day.

4. There is a 45-minute debriefing with the Master Trainer after class. It should end by 7:30pm.

5. Trainee Coach must attend the whole day of the Practicum.

6. The Master Trainer will evaluate the Trainee Coach’s performance to determine fulfillment of the ICI Coaching Certification standards (ie. ability to give feedback, behavioural flexibility, rapport with class participants, ability to manifest improvement based on feedback, ability to adapt processes to different individuals, etc).

7. If necessary, the Master Trainer reserves the right to seek feedback from peer Trainee Coaches, and class participants, to assess the performance of the Trainee Coach to fulfill the standards for certification.

8. If the Trainee Coach does not meet the certification standards, he/she will come back for more practicum days to develop skills and demonstrate improvement.

9. Trainee Coaches will be tasked to give each other feedback for improvement.

10. The Trainee Coach is recommended to attend Day 1 of the Practicum, corresponding to Day 1 of the NLP Practitioner Certification course. The Trainee Coach can arrange the other 5 days of Practicum within the next 11 days of the NLP Practitioner Certification course.

11. The Trainee Coach can fulfill the Practicum days within a few intakes of Mind Transformations’ NLP Practitioner Certification course, until it is complete.

12. The Trainee Coach can only start the Practicum after the NLP Master Practitioner Certification course.

13. The Trainee Coach is expected to utilise the tools and techniques learned in the NLP Practitioner & NLP Master Practitioner courses in his/her class facilitation and coaching sessions. The Trainee Coach however, is not allowed to teach the class participants the Master Practitioner materials. E.g. they can use the logical levels in their coaching and facilitation, but cannot teach the class participants how to use the logical levels.

14. The Trainee Coach must at all times be mindful of the participants’ course experience, and protect Mind Transformations’ brand and good intentions at all costs.

15. There is no time limit to complete the Practicum and Coaching Cases.

16. Due to updates in course curriculum, content and delivery methods, NLP Master Practitioners from BEFORE 2010 need to top up days in the MNLP.

Coaching Cases

1. The Trainee Coach needs to coach a minimum of 7 clients to fulfill the 40 coaching hours.

2. The Trainee Coach needs to submit ONLY ONE Coaching Session Review Sheet per client. The Review Sheet is a summary of all the coaching sessions conducted with the client.

3. The Trainee Coach is expected to find coaching clients outside of Mind Transformations for fulfillment of the 40 coaching hours.

4. The Trainee Coach can accumulate a maximum of 4 hours from online Skype/Phone coaching.

5. The Trainee Coach cannot take a peer ICI Trainee Coach as a coaching client to fulfill the 40 coaching hours.

6. Any coaching done within Mind Transformations’ NLP course with any class participant (while fulfilling the Practicum requirement) is not counted as a coaching case / fulfilling coaching hours.

7. Trainee coaches cannot use the same coaching clients to fulfill their coaching hours.

8. If the Trainee Coach is to work with other students in the Mind Transformations community (students from NLP / MNLP Practitioner courses), they can only accumulate a maximum of 10 coaching hours working with this group of people.

9. During the fulfillment of the ICI Coach / Master Coach Certifications, the Trainee Coach is not allowed to charge a professional fee to any Mind Transformations’ class participants, even if the coaching case is carried outside of the course.

10. If necessary, the Master Trainer reserves the right to seek feedback from the coaching clients, to assess the performance of the Trainee Coach, to fulfill the standards for certification.

11. The Trainee Coach is expected to utilise the tools and techniques learned from the NLP & NLP Master Practitioner courses in the coaching session.

12. If the Trainee Coach wants to start accumulating coaching hours before attending the NLP Master Practitioner Course, the maximum number of coaching hours he/she can accumulate is 16 hours out of the 40 coaching hours requirement (40%).

13. The Trainee Coach is to submit all Coaching Session Review Sheets to Master Trainer when the 40 hours of coaching have been completed.
